John Stanley is in his fourth year of leadership work with the Otters. He was born in Evansville and has a long background in business and athletics. Stanley had a 35-year career in banking mostly at Old National Bank where he served as President and CEO of Old National in Evansville. In addition, Stanley has always been very active in the community, serving on numerous organization’s Board of Directors, many where he had a leadership role. He also was a Trustee at his alma mater, Hanover College. After retiring from Old National, Stanley became the Director of Athletics at the University of Evansville for several years. He was active with the NCAA being a Board Member of the D-1AAA group of schools. He held committee leadership positions within the Missouri Valley Conference. As AD, Stanley was involved in the transition from Roberts Stadium to the Ford Center for the Aces basketball teams. Beyond his work, he was active as the Assistant Women’s Tennis Coach at UE for several years and last fall served as the Head Coach. “Bill Bussing is an excellent owner of the Otters Frontier League franchise and he is fun to work with. Also, I have always loved baseball and Bosse Field," said Stanley. "Having this position is very enjoyable because it allows me to interact with the fans, our staff, sponsors, team, and many others that work to have the Otters in Evansville. The ambiance of the games in the summer is excellent and I believe when fans come to a game, they leave being glad they did!”
